A To-Do List For A Year: How to Enjoy Life in the Middle of a Recession
Introduction.
Have you been stressed out lately? With the economy the way it is, and more and more bad news coming daily, we need to have a way to plan to get out of debt and out of the depression. This book will guide you through 365 activities that you can do, one for each day this year, and will hopefully help you find something you enjoy.
Excerpt (Sample Day).
Day 5
Window Shop
Length of time: minimum 1 hour
Things you need: pen and paper
Most of us love to receive gifts or buy new products; however, most of us are also in debt or cannot afford to get the items we want. This is the fun activity that allows you to look at what you want to get. Get in the car and go to the closest mall (if it is within a reasonable driving distance for what else you have to do today) or shopping center. Go into a store and look around. However, do not dare to dig for your wallet. You won’t need it for this activity. However, get out a notebook and a pen if you want; you may find you need it. No, you aren’t going to make fake money (that is illegal, and you may get fined for making counterfeit money; that would cost money). You should write down the items that interest you and write down their prices, too. Now go home (again, do not reach for your wallet; and don’t try to buy the item online, either). With your list in mind, write down ways you can think of to make money; set a goal for yourself and try to stick with it. Include hobbies you may have (see day 2) that may give you an income. Once you have a way of making that money, then follow through; when you have enough to spend, buy that item.
Verse of the Day:
“So he called ten of his servants and gave them ten minas. 'Put this money to work,' he said, 'until I come back’” (Luke 19:13).
